In 2021 we awarded the first Eden G. MacDonald Memorial Scholarship to a Rockport Senior. It was a pretty emotional day since we presented the award at what would have been Eden’s graduation. Rockport High School was so kind in including remembrances of her during the ceremony and although it was hard to get through, it was sweet and special as well. A lot of grief is like that.
This year we are hoping to award another $1000 scholarship to a student headed for college and planning an arts degree. We opened it up beyond just visual arts since Eden was a gifted writer as well.
